If Katee's words are so heart-rendingly painful that you can't shut up about them, maybe you should stop watching the show and leave fandom.
Failing that, please shut the fuck up about how she's traumatized your poor shipper heart. You're as bad as the Sam/Jack fans who won't shut up about their entitlement, either.

Dudes. Multiple covers went out in 1997. Please please please just let the interior artist do your covers. Most of the alternates have been fugly, anyway. Except the photo cover of Kara with the cigar, and gambling.
Also, that one artist of yours has obviously never actually seen a real woman. We? Do not bend like that.
PS, who decided to rip off Ghost in the Shell for the next BSG cover?

Basically, they want us to upload stories, that they will make money from. And we, the people doing the actual work will get, um, t-shirts! And, and, if the companies that we're writing fanworks of come after Fanlib, Fanlib will step aside and claim "Oh noes! We didn't know!" and we, the people writing, will get sued. And have to pay Fanlib's court costs. And stuff.
There's lots of commentary on the community http://community.livejournal.com/life_wo_fanlib/ that says it (sometimes in far too tl;dr fashion). And Henry Jenkins has also weighed in, but I'm too lazy to dig out his link.

And actually, canon pairings are usually the exception to the rule, since, as the SG people and the JAG people and countless others keep saying, "couples who are together are BORING." Which is in fact an accusation leveled at the canon couples on BSG. Helo and Sharon, Kara and Sam, Cally and Chief. Because, y'know, people who aren't angstily pining for each other are boring and have no conflict (I really hope someone sends my parents that memo. I think they've been arguing about Dad's water glass since before I was born.)
