Seriously. What would we do without Atlantis fandom providing monthly doses of tl;dr pointlessness?

Anyway. Apparently, there's a special little snowflake who can't bear to see a certain pairing, and has unsusbscribed from newsletters until said pairing goes away.

Also, apparently, this is between... slash pairings. And not, as I first assumed, boyslash vs. het.

What is the world coming to, when boyslashers are fighting amongst themselves? What will happen if they implode? Will there be no more boyslash forevermore? (I would miss Apollo/Midnighter) Can the world still be safe for non-boyslash without its over-powering presence supporting everything else?

The sad thing is, this is not a story that 60 Minutes will ever cover.

In other news, I've been re-reading Freedom & Necessity. Sigh.

I've just hit Engels, again. And, yes. James angst is quite awesome, and a must (as is Susan's, though she's a bit more sensible about it). Also, one day, I will see this done as a miniseries, and I will die happy.

I am not at all surprised that you did get called that, though, given what I've seen with some slash writers and their defensiveness. Fortunately, they're in a minority, but apparently a very vocal one at times!

Yeah. I saw that post pop up on metafandom and have been expecting the whole mess to turn up on Fandom Wank (http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_wank/) ever since. Kind of puts het shipper wars in perspective, yes? :-)

And that just makes me laugh, because, yes. And it's not like I hate boyslash--I'm a huge Bobby/Remy shipper, from way back when--I just... don't care about it. And it always reads very badly. (there are exceptions, of course).

Plus, I like the girls more. It's a thing.

This is not to say that I don't write entirely implausible pairings. *eg*
