If we're going for Angsty Meant To Be, you can't really get angstier than them.... And even leaving that aside, she still went back for him later, and he was alive. And like he said, she didn't survive four months with Leoben, and he didn't survive the occupation just for it to be nothing.
...I might be joking, but I'm kind of becoming enamored of this idea now. huh.
Ooh I like that idea. It depends on whether Kara is or is not a Cylon, but it would make sense in the "Cylons-need-love-too" scheme of things. It is part of the humanisation of The Cylon. Through love and pain they become human. Of course in an ironic way, Sam's love brings more humanity to Kara.
Although, if she is, they've totally got something different going on for the Final Five, because her spine doesn't glow. Neither does Sam's, though, so... (unless it does, and Kara is just not that observant.)
Making Sam her electric guitar player. They're involved, clearly. Which drives Tory, who sings backup and plays the tambourine, nuts 'cause she's jealous. And the Chief roll his eyes as he plays the drums, because they're so obvious, even on stage. Their stage manager, Tigh, keeps yelling at them to focus while they're performing, but Kara contends, and Sam agrees, that she can multi-task very well. Tory thinks she's full of crap and is threatening to join The Special Seven, the rival cover band on Caprica. Helo, the newest guy to join the band, just wants to keep the peace and play his bass. Sam agrees there should be intra-band peace, and works with Helo to make Kara more open to suggestions from her band mates. Helo works on the band, and Sam works on Kara, and in the end: total harmony. or, possibly, sex. either. or both. ----- I'm bored, too.
I think Sam is much better for her than Leoben(putting aside my weird obssession for CKR). Why? Cos! Well in the 18 months before the Cylons turned up on NC she was behaving like she was still single and coming back to him and he never hit and brought her infidelity up so they could talk about. Leoben on the other hand, has no problem smacking the crap out of her when she says no to the littlest of things like her stabbing him. However I think Leoben in the 'tester' and Sam is the 'special toy for the girl with the special destiny'. Also They look hot together, and they say so much with just looks and glances. Leoben has to preach to her. So not happening.
