SFF: The It's About Frakkin' Time Edition
SG-1: I would like a Sam Carter.
Lantis: I would like a Teyla.
Painkiller Jane: I would like a Jane.
SG-1.
So. Jack's Arthur? *snickers madly*
There were lots of bits that were lovely, and a few that were kinda dumb, but, eh, it's SG-1.
Vala and Sam and Cam and Teal'c will now have sex and mourn for Daniel.
SAM PUNCHING BA'AL, FOR THE WIN. Forever and ever AMEN. OMG.
Lantis.
Lizzie has always wanted to grope a General's ass.
Jack really wished Sam had been there.
Liz? Also wants to drag Shep off for sex. And Teyla wants Ronon. And maybe all of them want McKay.
Oh, oh, and Teyla with her two guns and the blasting and the - GUH.
PKJ.
Now. Now, you know how much I have a thing for blondes. Especially snarky ones who kick ass. So it's kind of a given that I'm all over her being hot. But I'm also all over her being really nicely vulnerable and in touch with her emotions.
AND. Surprise, surprise. She has a female friend.
Yes, folks, girls talk to each other. I know, this is UNHEARD OF in SciFi.
The team she has around her is... amusing. Marc (Andre McBride), is quite awesome. Jane and Mo' pwn Gwen for finding out aboutTorchwood I/O Black Air um... a Secret Government Agency.

Is Marc the guy who was in prison? 'cuase I liked him. Jane and Mo both found the Secret Government Agency waaay faster than Gwen. Which means we got to the cool "here's our secret base/secret people/secret mission" part of the show I love so much a lot faster.
i...don't understand. girls talk to each other? about what? why?

Nah. Marc's the leader guy--his name is actually Andre McBride, but he looks like Marc (Backlash) from Wildstorm. Acts like him, too.
I still give Gwen high marks for finding it, though.
Well, please note that in both Stargates and BSG? There are women. And the women... rarely interact. If you see two women in the same room, you can be certain they won't actually have any sort of conversation. Jane and Mo'? Talk.

oh, Gwen gets high marks. in many areas. (i'm not sure exactly what i mean by that, but i like that it sounds suggestive. vaguely.)
oh, no. :) I got you, i just don't get sci-fi writers who can't put two women in a room and have them speak while making eye contact.

Gwen gets high marks in many... areas. Yes. ;)
Ah! But don't you know? Speaking to each might give them uppity women ideas. (that was totally sarcasm)

YES!!!! That was awesome.
And Teyla and the guns were FANTASTIC.

That was my guess. Makes Pete Lancelot, doesn't it? He's the only one of Sam's exes that's still alive [in this universe], isn't he? Or McKay, now there's a thought.
I dunno, I think I'd've done it differently. It was obvious Merlin was going to peg Baal for Mordred before it happened, the amount of time we were given for seeing it coming - too obvious. Lack of romance with Sam notwithstanding, I think Cam is a better match for Lancelot for the SG1 dramtic niche he fills. Vala is Morgan, adversary turned intimate and/or vice versa, except the SG1 mythos already has one ...
