I just took five days' worth of mail out of our mailbox. The Thursday circular from last Thursday was in it. MY FUCKING PAYCHECK WAS IN IT. Just because I have direct deposit doesn't mean I don't require that damned paystub.

Did our mail carrier decide to take the week off and not tell anyone?

Nah, it's probably because they're allowed to refuse to deliver somewhere if they feel it isn't safe.

Like here? We've not got mail in over a week because our landlords don't believe in any sort of snow removal. I've had to call everywhere I know I have a bill coming from to get bill amounts and mail them on the way home from work.

Which is not to say my letter carrier isn't an ass, but they're not allowed to be a random ass.

Which would make sense, except that the porch and steps have been clear since Thursday. Unless they're upset about the stuff that got blown on (and off and on and off) while I was at work and my roommate was in class.

I think I'm just a bit irritated because if I were still living paycheck to paycheck? I would have just been fucked over.
