I'm only ten minutes in, and, shit, I miss the season being this good. I was all happy, and then, Wham, then the triple-crap shoot reset button of Collabs, Torn and Measure hit us. Not to mention Our Backstories Are Pastede On Yay Hero and Passage and then the Telkena-written UB.
EoJ and Rapture have sort of redeemed it... Sort of.
That was merely observation. The following will be spoilery, through TaB, probably.
1. D'Anna was supposed to find the Baby of Prophecy and then would Know Love. That never happened.
2. In fact, the Hera thing kind of got lost for the Soap Opera of Doom. I can't believe I'm actually MISSING a baby plot.
3. The line of salt scene. Shit, I still love that.
4. Cottle fucking rocks. Always has, always will.
5. Laura trusting Sam. Also never touched upon again.
6. OH ELLEN.
7. Shit, Sam's so fucking cool. Why did we have to suffer through Lee and Adama's pastede on manpain backstories?
8. Also. Sam asking Sharon to look for Starbuck. He's so calm and controlled--because he has a job, and a mission. Juxtapose that with the absolute anger and terror and determination to save her from EoJ/Rapture. He's got no job, in the latter, he just has his wife.
9. "Adama wouldn't lie to me." and she shoots D in the legs...

5. Well, yes. And actually, that's one of my problems. The show sticks to certain grouping of people and doesn't vary it. The older actors are one group, the younger, andother... Sigh.

No kidding. Also with the issues. "And the Cylons are like the Americans invading Iraq and the Nazis, and the New Capricans are like the Palestinians..." I can't believe I would ever say I wanted that stuff back, but I miss the show being about bigger things than just two pilots' love lives.

I can't believe that the OMG!ANGST, "They should be together but can't be but should be but hate each other but love each other but are both married so angst angst ANGST ANGST ANGST!!eleventy!one!!!" between Kara and Lee is making me miss the old school Starbuck and Apollo! I actually haven't even been able to watch the show in a while, because it was actually starting to hurt me. (Well, that and it was getting SO depressing...)

Plus, Kara and Sam are hot like hot things. It's hard not to watch them.
