1. Did I miss a memo? I've been seeing a lot of Anders hate from the Kara/Lee fans. Are the Kara/Anders shippers supposed to hate Lee now? Maybe Jack's been zatting my memos...

2. My brain doesn't want to work.

3. I didn't get a Sam Anders for christmas. This makes me sad.

4. I did the New Years' resolution meme thingie, and it told me to be nicer to qwirky. Okie. That, I can do. I did it for Galactica!Carter, and it told her to find a new Starbuck. Huh. Sam really needs to get laid?

5. I miss Quin.

I've actually seen that complaint, that we're taking over fandom. I figure it's because, "ZOMG, a few people are actually, y'know, talking about Kara/Anders and doing meta and stuff. Horrors, I actually have to think about my ship a little." *rolls eyes*

OMG WE'RE TAKING OVER FANDOM OH NOES. *rolls eyes too* Because, you know, the fabric of the cosmos is in jeopardy when people are actually talking about another Kara 'ship. FEAR. FEAR AND TREMBLING.

It amuses me so horribly. I mean, have these people even seen fandoms like Harry Potter or whatever, where there are more possibly pairings than you can shake a stick at? (Not that I would wish HP-style shipper wars on this fandom. *shudder*)

Rolling his eyes, Cameron snorted, "If I want to save the world, I need pants."

"That's not what Vala says."

"Vala," Cameron muttered, "Has no idea what she's talkin' about. Besides. I don't like the draft."

With a shrug, Anders tossed the pants onto the bed. "Better hurry. Kara and Carter came by earlier to say it was almost time to finish the plan to take on the replicators."

"Ugh. You know, I hate bugs." muttered Cameron, pulling himself from the bed and pulling his boxers on. They'd been on the lamp, which was something he didn't want to think about, here in the light of day. "So. Carter and Thrace, huh?"

"Oh, yeah."

"The whole... sleeping with your wife thing doesn't bother you?"

Anders raised his eyebrows, "No more than me sleeping with you bothers her."

"Oh." Good point. Cameron pulled on his pants and frowned, "How's that work, though? Really? I mean, Sam and I--"

"Bending the rules, man."

Cameron considered Anders and bending things, and then nodded, "Gotcha." The mental picture of Carter kissing Thrace danced across his mind, and he shoved it away. If he wanted concentration, he was going to have to think of boring things. Like the Ori. "So. Ever fought gods before?"

"Blew up cylons. Same thing."

"Nah, man. So not."

They were still arguing amiably when Daniel knocked on the door and told Sam and Cameron to come down to breakfast. Daniel was... a bit surprised when the Sam in question turned out to be Anders.

I've been smacked by a ton of Lee/Kara people over at Skiffy for my love of Sam Anders. I think the whole "Kara not divorcing Sam" thing from Eye of Jupiter brought out the hate even more, because it's clear that Sam isn't going away anytime soon. I even had one person try to tell me that Sam forced Kara into the Unfinished Business frak session. Like the man who has seen the aftermath of the most horrific things the Cylons have done to her -- the farm and Leoben -- is going to force a sexual encounter on Kara. I don't think so.

I didn't realize though that us Kara/Anders people are taking over the fandom. That's news to me.

How can anyone hate Sam Anders? He's hot, snarky, loves his wife, is extremely loyal to those he is close to, and is a bad-ass Cylon killer who comes in very handy in a ground war. I don't see anything there to hate, but it could just be me.

I SAW THAT THREAD. And have a rant about it, at some point (because, leaving aside the farm/Leoben business, OMGWTF Sam is not going to use his wife for sex. That's her thing. Also. I have a thing about Sam being Kara-lite, and how, if so, then he's doing the same thing she does when it comes to emotional pain--RUNNING THE FRAK AWAY)

Apparently, we are. This is very news to me, since I'm pretty sure I'm still one of only five people actually writing them.

I try not to go to Skiffy much since that thread. I just don't have the tolerance to deal with those fraktards. It's ironic that the poster in question was telling people not to have a shipper bias and to look at things objectively, but was obviously biased herself because anyone who dared to speak up for Sam Anders was trashed. I have been lurking and posting a bit at TWoP though.

And yes, EoJ definitely brought out the hate because now they have an excuse -- He's so terrible because he's bringing in the personal and not seeing the big picture, blah blah. And also because many of them are now uncomfortable that their OTP is having an affair and they have to justify it by demonizing Sam and Dee. Except that Dee is handling the affair with more class. Apparently.

here's a really big one he is FAITHFUL to Kara. Something she is still working on. He is great and they are so cute together. Those complainers are just, just. Oh for goodness sake, words fail me. You and the rest of the Kara Sam lovers out there don't need to care and about the 'stupid ones'. So shake it Baby Shake it.
