I'm still kind of amused that my Weir ficathon assignment specifically said, "No Sheppard/Weir". Possibly, I do not talk about Sparky enough?

Also, in combing through unfinished fic, I've come across some truly awful Sam/Jack stuff. Man. Really bad. (like, making Pete a stalker bad) I may try to salvage some of it... Luckily, a lot of it was mostly unfinished and thus, can be modified (it's possible I knew, even then, that it was baaaad).

Was reminded the other day. If Pete Wisdom and Kitty Pryde hadn't broken up, I never would have written fanfic.

So, yeah. You people have Marvel comics to thank for me being around.

But Pete still calls her and leaves messages, HE IS PATHETIC.

I *just* finished my Weir ficathon story and sent it off for beta. Except I feel really awful at not knowing who I'm writing for, because I'm just writing blindly and hoping whoever it is likes it.

So, uh, who would assign you a Weir prompt with "no Shep/Weir" as a restriction. (I, uh, kind of got a large part of the way through my fic and saw that I'd accidentally ignored my restriction. Oops?)

I don't know! This puzzles me. Perhaps there were only a few with S/W as requests? I mean, I know it's all about Liz, rather than pairings. So I guess that makes sense. It's just, um, kinda hard not to do random Sparky things. *restrains self* It would help if Sheppard wasn't in the scene.

Actually, I think you might have gotten my prompt, because I vaguely remember specifying no Shep/Weir, since I wanted a more Elizabeth-focused story. In which case, if you did, and you put Shep/Weir in, it's not like I'm going to have a problem with it, because, hello, I don't think there's anything you've written that I've disliked.

But yes, I wrote the mod and wanted to know who I was writing for, and she wouldn't tell me. So I clearly remember that part.

All I know is that I hope my story actually works.

See, and the one thing that I've done in past ficathons I couldn't do with this one -- check the requester's lj for likes and dislikes. (I'm having a tangential thought about someone doing secret recipients in a Kara Thrace ficathon, and how bad that could go for me)

Yes, and that was what was bugging me. I'm writing blindly and hoping it was okay. (You know, Kara could possibly find a Cylon Time Machine, and-- OK, shutting up now.)
