Yeah, so, was writing a scene, realized it didn't work and figured out, er, why....
Kara was crying.
Sam frowned. That wasn't right. Kara didn't cry. Ever. "Who are you, and what have you done with my wife?" The question was half-joking.
A soft giggle came from the woman in his arms and she pulled back. "Oh, but, baby..."
The blood froze in his veins. Whatever he was holding was not his wife. "Where's Kara?"
"Wouldn't you like to know?"
Sam shoved the thing away from him. He had to get to his gun--the one racked in the armory, of course. He had to get the thing restrained, to the brig. Something. The sick dread of knowing his wife had been replaced filled him. "Where's Kara?"
It stepped forward and reached out to him, "Oh, but Sam, we were just having fun."
"Get the frak--" He froze. The hand had elongated, fingers thinning until sharp spines poked his skin. "--away from me."
"No. Your brain is so interesting." It stepped forward and its free hand changed shape, fingers melting into one slim probe-like protruberance. "Say cheese, Sam Anders, you're on Candid Camera."
"Frak--"
He never got the chance to reply as the fingers slid into his brain and white-hot agony sent him into the dark.

Yes, well, one of these days, I'll do the crossover where Kara's a replicator and Samantha's a cylon. And Samuel will just be all kinds of disturbed.
