BSG #2: Hell froze over, and it's out... almost a month late. HEY SBABE. Your fic is now canon, given that Greg Pak has a thing for zombies.
Highlander #1: Awww.. It's... Not awful. I think I need the next issue before I decide.
Gen13 #1: ...well, that sucked. Seriously. If you've read any Gen13 comics before? Yeah, this is the first issue. Again. But with Extra Leet shit. For once, Gail Simone disappoints.
Yes, I have gotten pickier. Of course, I keep picking up Medieval Lady Death, so you'd think I wasn't.
OMG OMG OMG.
First, not much Kara in this issue, which is ok. What we got was snarky, sneaky, "I get to shoot things eventually, yes?" Kara. This made me happy.
Second, DAD. OH. Pak is enjoying shoving him through the emotional wringer. And has, apparently, now added to canon that Dad was NOT PROUD of Zak when he graduated. There's a great shot of him kind of weighted down by everything in an almost empty CIC.
MOM. And Billy! He HAD A LINE.
Pak also abused the "One Hour Earlier" time-thingie, which made me giggle madly.
The conversation between Mom and Dad was great, although, DAD, if you keep killing people off? You won't have enough to continue to Earth.
Love that these random terrorist guys were running around, taking out the pilots. 'Cause, the pilots don't have enough trouble, nope. Also enjoyed the space-shot at the end. With the corpse and all the ships, and, and--I really like the art. I know everyone thinks it's crap, but there's a nice (getting consistant) style to it.
Plus, he drew naked Kara last time. HOW CAN THAT BE WRONG?
Six/Gaius! Awwww. The Cylon in my head line amused, as did Gaius MOCKING KARA FOR CALLING LEE'S NAME. OMG. I really need to write Greg Pak some fanmail about this.
But, but! The best part? Lee. Lee with his anger and rage, and his problems with Zak, and, and, there was BROTHER BONDING. They punched each other, and then they went running around, shooting things! That's like the best bonding EVER.
And nextmonth issue? Kara, Zak and Dad fly vipers to bitch-slap the cylons.
