well... that was unexpected.

So, as some of you remember, I had two of my wisdom teeth out a bit ago. And today was the day I was scheduled to go in and get the other two done.

And I was nervous as fuck, might I add.

Went in. Dentist was brisk, and when I warned him I had long roots said, "Don't worry, I had my Wheaties this morning."

Jabbed me for the anesthetic.

Came back, poked to make sure I couldn't feel a thing, clamped on the lower, turned and it was out. Switched to the upper, clamp, turn, out.

The last time, it took over an HOUR.

This time? TWO MINUTES.

And while my sinuses are now being bitchy (which, actually, they've been bitchy since last night), and I can tell it may hurt, I... I almost went back to work. Hell, if I didn't have a two-hour round trip drive, I would have.

yay.

ALSO. I would like to do a Cally/Travis vid to the Gnarls Barkley song.

eta: I would also like to note that I look like a fucking vampire who's just fed when I open my mouth, and, damnit, it ain't pretty.

There must be Cally/Travis vidding!

And congrats on the wisdom teeth!

Srsly. I was listening in the car, and I was like, "...that would work for that scene from Weapon. And there's a bit from Trial..." And it was mostly all Travis, until somewhere in the second verse when Cally showed up.

Yay!

Usually the lower wisdom teeth are more difficult to remove than the upper ones, unless your mouth is just totally weird:)

last time was an upper and a lower, this time, the other pair. And the lower one I was actually expecting not to take too long, as it was decayed and the roots were all dead.

Lesson learned? Oral surgeon = better.

Oh yeah, oral surgeon much better. My wisdom teeth grew in sideways and they had to remove them in chunks. I remember that whole ordeal quite well, about a million years later:)

I'm glad this one went better!!

::Double-plop:: Been there done that (however not all four at once). Let me guess, those roots was pretty much stake-shaped, yes?

Yay for a dentist that knows what they're doing! I had all four done at once and it took under an hour but they were impacted (embedded in the back of my jaw) and I did get to miss a few days of school (yay!) Glad to hear yours was a lot better than mine.

Glad that you've had them removed if they've been giving you trouble. My situtation was similar except the 1st 2 the dentist was practically standing on the arm rests of the chair because the little buggers wouldn't come out impacted but some strange reason didn't want to co-operate. the others like you expericened man for the job smooth professional not trouble at all.

Sending you big hugs and suggles with whatever is your favourite dessert.
Wishing for a speedy recovery!
