I went to the Lollapalooza that had Soundgarden and the Ramones and Rancid. Can't remember the other bands. I was with H and his mother (so imagine how old she must have felt!).
I don't know if there was more than one year with that line-up, but that was one of the ones I went to. Last time the Ramones were supposed to tour, iirc. *chuckles*
Lolla = huge music festival that was started in 1991 by Perry Farrell of (then) Porno for Pyros (and later Jane's Addiction, and now something else I don't remember). It was supposed to showcase 'alternative' talent, and fringe bands (which it kind of did).
Unfortunately, they also went for the ones who sold a lot. Thus, one year, they even had Metallica.
Er. Anyway. I was realizing that it's been around for a while and I feel rather old (I last went in, like, '96... )
Well, think about it. I know there were kids as young as 11 at Lolla the years I went... If they're still going at that age today, they weren't born in '91...
