I had a skim of who had written for SG and BSG and there's like someone who I want to spork and drag Sam and Janet out of his clutches... I might get around to reading some of the authors I know not to be character assasins (like you!) but the overwhelming presence of some authors put me off enough not to even bother writing anything!
God, that one particular author seems to have written nearly every damned Sam/Janet piece, plus one Sam/Kara piece. *weeps with rage*

I figure if I write anything for it, I'm going to be swiping a prompt, giving credit, and putting it in my journal anyway. I can't even bring myself to skim when I see something ridiculous like that one particular author anyway!
There was one Sam/Janet prompt for 'blood' that just screams darkfic to me.
Is there any way to make my brain not read words when I look at them? Because it HURTS to read that author's stuff. I had to squeeze my eyes shut and hit 'page down' REALLY fast to try and get past it.
I suspect the problem is that I have been lucky in that a good 75% of the not-written-by-me Sam/Kara has been fairly decent. And, thus, I did not think it would be quite so bad. sigh.

I have so many wip's at the moment but there were a few bsg and SG prompts that I'd like to try sometime - shame there weren't any good Law and Order SVU ones, cause I'm loving that fandom at the moment (the majority of femslashers there can't spell the characters names, it makes a mediocre writer like myself look good ;) heh)
He started writing Farscape too! Please stop slashing Aeryn when for the entirety of the series we have ONE potential past female lover for her (based on SUBTEXT only), and the three or four possible other love interests for her (those two PK guys first and second season, plus Crais and John) have been male.
