oh dear god no

Please, lord, keep Joss Whedon out of my tv show. If there has to be more branching out, can't they kidnap David Kemper or something?

Also, dear Whedon-ites, please to not start watching the show and claiming you've suddenly discovered a holy grail.

hrm. is 2:30. I go to bed. After writing something porn-like. I think. *pokes brain*

Oh, all the zillionty message after Joss Whedon announced he likes BSG were divided between FF fans who liked it but not as much as FF or his followers who said they tried BSG but didn't like it. I think we're safe.

Whoa, wait. Whedon is going to be involved with Galactica?

That don't seem... right, for some reason.

No, but he could be. One of his old writers is, and he thinks it's OMGFABULOUS or something.

Astonishing X-Men's already bi-monthly and he's gonna work on some other show now? Piss on that. Finish my damn comics, Mr. Hollywood TV Guy!

No, he just wants to, as he thinks it's cool, or something. And his fans think he should.

Oh, I dunno. I'm a big Joss fan but I don't think the mood he writes matches the mood Ron and Dave are running. I'm a big Larry Gelbart fan too, but that sure doesn't mean he needs to get on the BSG writing staff.

You're right. Whedon's style really, really doesn't mesh with BSG's at all.

I have mixed feelings about Joss -- on the one hand, Firefly is still my favorite tv show, ever, bar none, but on the other hand 1) I hate Serenity with a deep, unending passion; 2) I'm not terribly fond of Astonishing, and no, it's not entirely because of the Scott/Emma thing; and 3) I'm in the middle of watching BtVS and I kinda think it sucks. Oh, and 4) Joss-ophiles piss me the fuck off.

But all that is irrelevant. Because he and BSG? Not so much.

I just... I don't think it'll ever happen, but I'd like it NOT to.

Yep. I'm just mostly headdesking at the Joss fans who are suddenly all "BSG! rock!" Much like they were when he started writing X-Men.
