had enough, damnit

I came home, fell on my bed, and slept for an hour and a half.

DEAR BODY,

It's nice that you like to do this whole shifting cycle thing about twice a year. Really. I'm sure it's good for you to go from the normal pattern of bleed every three weeks to bleeding heavily two weeks after the last time you bled. And, if this didn't happen every couple of months, I might be worried.

But, as it is, I'm used to it.

Mostly.

It's still bloody annoying, and I'd appreciate it if you STOPPED.

Yes, yes, it does. You need a good standardized extract, such as made by Gaia Herbs or Eclectic Institute, and you need to check for drug interactions if you're taking any medications, but black cohosh has been used for thousands of years in Native American pharmacopia to treat acute cramps and PMS symptoms. Cramp bark works wonderfully, too.
