Well, he is kinda craggy and ugly. It's probably hard to translate properly. (Kara's too pretty, Six is too simpery, and Baltar looks like he got kicked outta Transylvania). Cover art? Never very useful (now, if they'd gotten Greg Land....)

Also. I'm reminded by my roommate that comics artists have a tendency to get told "make everyone pretty" and so, it's old habit for them to do so.

Is it just me or did someone else think that Kara and Six look very alike in that cover? Plus, Six looks like she has a dog boy face (like from Dark Angel).

They do. Part of that is the limited ability most comic artists have with facial structures, part of it is trying to translate from pictures. Etc.
