I now think that some third entity/phenomenon - perhaps that they somehow inadvertently created with their own synergy? - is responsible for the invisible soulmates, because the invisible soulmates are both such needlier, nastier, goadier people than the respective real people.

I also think I saw Anders in the previews for the two-part season finale.

Also: I read second or third hand that a sleeper Cylon aboard Galactica was to be revealed this week, and if it happened I missed it. I thought it was going to turn out to be the girl. Failing that, the whole invisible soulmate thing kind of suggests Baltar. Doesn't it? Or did I hear wrong in the first place?

I dunno. I think the Prez's new aide is giving off a Cylon vibe, but that could just be wishful thinking on my part. 'Cause that would mean the Cylons know the baby is alive, and then maybe the Prez will have to be all, "Um, dude, I'm sorry I made it look like your baby was dead, but could you guys please go bring her back from the Cylons?" to Helo. :P
