I've been trying to find a way to word this, since it's kind of something that's hard to keep silent on, and I feel odd not letting newer viewers know.
Casting spoilers.
They're not returning. Knyvette and Thomas had tried to get out of the show after the first season (according to Knyvette, she was very unhappy with the writing for Jenna as she'd been offered the part as a hard-boiled space pirate-type and found that she was mostly being on-screen to show off her sex appeal, and kept pushing for more which never appeared and her complaints were basically ignored. I'm not sure why Thomas was pushing to leave). BBC basically kept them locked into their contracts for one more season, then they were let go to pursue other interests.
So as much as I would kill to have Jenna, Cally, and Dayna share a spaceship, they don't. :/
