Part of it, I think, is more that the fandom has this weird utter hatred of Jean. Admittedly, some of them only really know her from her really shitty treatment in the 90s cartoon, but it's like because she isn't (wasn't, whatever... she'll be alive again before the movie comes out...) 100% bad attitude all the time, she isn't worth their attention. Because, you know, a woman can't be nice and caring and still reduce you to atomic waste. Nooo.

I dislike Jean, the comic Jean that is.(I save my utter hatred for the likes of Storm, Quicksilver, Emma, Chris Claremont, etc, who belive their shit is a perfectly acceptable replacement for potpourri.) I'm actually quite fond of Famke's Jean and she's one of the main reasons I want to see the 3rd movie so much.

And Famke is looking good from my perspective.

I am rather appalled by those comments. From my rather ancient perspective, Famke J is exceedingly attractive, even when she's clearly pissed off. What's she supposed to do, look like a plastic person forever?

I'm sure people on planets in Shi'ar space know my opinion of X3, which is that everyone involved with it should die a horribly slow and painful death (well, not the actors, it's not their fault), but I also will admit that Famke Janssen is hot hot hot and would make a terrifying Dark Phoenix if they were actually doing anything remotely close to the Dark Phoenix storyline, and instead will make a terrfying could-have-been-Dark-Phoenix-if-they-tried.

Yes, I'm coming to this late, because I'm behind on my friendslist. I'm not posting in comicfangirls, because it would only be Dk Smash! (Especially upon the twit who cannot spell "phoenix".)

I think she looks appropriately Dark Phoenix-y. It's a still, and her face is twisted up in rage, this does not normally make for a flattering glamor shot.
