*glee* Ghost in the Shell, 2nd Gig

So, Cartoon Network has been showing the second season, and this one is even more multi-layered than the previous. Yum.

I like that Section Nine has gotten itself basically caught by the short and curlies. I think the dealing that the Chief did at the end of season one would have drastic consequances. And, yes, they're still the elite unit, but they're also finding out it ain't that easy.

Now, the Prime Minister? She and Roslin would get along like a house on fire. Throw Cain in the mix, and I think the universe would spontaneously implode due to certainty of things going BOOM. She's evil, she uses her power, and she's still human. Ok, evil in the keeping her people safe way.

This episode does some good in advancing the plot. Gives us new twists. It also makes me re-watch all of the earlier episodes, just to see the bits and pieces I missed.

And I love the entire refugee situation. It's just... Dude.

Did I mention it's got incredible visuals and a soundtrack that kicks major ass?

NOT TO MENTION THAT the evil guy asked Batou if he loved the Major.

That CIS dude is one manipulative bastard. And I love the fact that antagonizing Section 9 is clearly a deliberate part of his plan. (Otherwise, why reveal that they weren't really guarding the plutonium and being used only as decoys?)

Yes. I think he's got a reason (probably thirty of 'em, some of 'em contradictory) for provoking Section 9. *fidgets* But I wanna know nooooow!

AHAHAAH! OMG, I DIED when evil dude asked that! And his "...GRR." face.. *cackles*

Also, I managed to pick up the GitS trade at the comic store and I MUST lend it to you two! It's terribly funny and Ishikawa continues to be The Man.

YES. And Timey died, too, as the subtitled version just says, "Do you have feelings for the Major?" (WHICH OMG IT'S SG1!)

Er, is that the book about Batou? 'Cause Timey got that, somewhere. Otherwise, yay!

No! Although, I do have that too. No, this is the original manga. Batou and the Major are both snarky bitches. It's faboo!

Oh, and OMG. BATOU LOVES THE MAJOR! He's such a dork. *hugs him*
