eta: No, really. Someone told me there's a letter-writing campaign. Add in that I've seen the same kind of commentary on Katee's interviews that the S/J list provides for Amanda Tapping's, AND that the rationalization for Anders is the exact same logic people were using for Pete... And, yeah. Same crap, different fandom.

I have to admit, I don't go the A/S yahoo group much anymore because of the lunacy there. I joined the S/J group just to gawk at the craziness and daily fear that level percolating into our BSG world.

Seriously, I think that every single time we get a pro-Kara/Anders or
pro-Dee/Lee interview or comment...we should fire back with our own
opinion. I know for sure that BSG lost 3 new viewers (people I had
personally converted over the break) by choosing to separate K/L at
this juncture. If the season goes well for K/L in the end...I might
talk those people into watching/buying DVD...but the ratings points
nudge is gone for good.

Hopefully you don't mind a comment from a random person. :) I just have to say thank god(s). I was a bit concerned I was only one just amazed by all the freaking out especially on the A/S list. I don't watch any of the Stargates but I've seen stuff like this in other fandoms and it never ceases to amuse me.

No worries. I just... *flails* I know that shippers everywhere (the sane ones) would love to kill the insane, letter-writing ones. But, sadly, mass genocide is not an option.

And, yes, almost every fandom is like this nowadays. It's actually kinda scary.
