NCIS, House, and other random TV things

VH1 Classic is like crack, y'know.

I had forgotten how much I liked the movie Red Planet. You know, the one NO ONE remembers because the completely shitty Mission to Mars came out a month before it, and no one wanted to hear about Mars, like, EVER, after being subjected to MtM and it's painful badness.

This is not to say that Red Planet doesn't have its dumb moments. But it at least has stronger female characters.

And, well, Carrie-Anne Moss. And Val Kilmer. Snarking. (although, Val, HONEY, blonde? Not your color. At all.) For the record: Val has a far better intelligence than Keanu. Matrix with Val? Would've been awesome (Willowsidenote: Val and CAM as swashbuckling pirates? Be still my beating heart)

Bowman/Gallagher is, like, the best disaster movie OTP.

OH. I was going to talk about House and NCIS.

Um, House. Didn't really watch, other than telling Cameron to go have sex, and cheering for Cuddy's boobs.

NCIS. More snark, more amusement. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dynamic between newDirector and Gibbs. Poor Chip. But he's an idiot, anyway. Loved the end, the middle... sigh. *pets Ziva*

I might be doing nanowrimo

the very thought of nanowrimo frightens me deeply

I've had the unopened DVD of Red Planet on my shelf for, well, ever. Only bought it 'cause of Val Kilmer. Guess maybe I'll actually watch it one of these days. ;)

It's actually not a completely awful movie. It's normal SF cliche fare, with pseudo-military stuff. And tough decisions. And a female commander.
