Well I haven't heard the cover but Ryan Adams has been around for awhile now. He fronted a competent roots rock band called Whiskeytown who had a moderate hit with a song I really love "16 Days". He's been solo for three or so years now. I'm 40+ and Oasis makes me feel old so....
