So, I go to what is called 'orientation' for this new job. And discover that it's like fucking pre-orientation. I just wasted gas to go sign paperwork they should have people signing when they start their fucking training.

Oh, right, and I wasted gas to discover that the reason idiot-agency woman NEVER CALLED ME BACK even though I called her THREE TIMES after she called me is that she gave me the wrong fucking extension number! *seethes*

This does not bode well for these people to be at all competent. Great. It's the ONLY job I've even been remotely considered for since fucking Roundy's fucked me over, and it's not even going to start until they get their dicks out of their asses and decide they need people.

That sucks. It is my fervent wish for all HR people to prove that they have been unemployed at some point in the past, so they'll know how not to be an ass-hat.

I don't know if I've told you this before, but do you know anyone who is a student at a college or university? Get them to go to the Career Services office and get a job listings sheet or go look at their webpage. When I've needed to get a job fast, that has saved my ass a few times.

Have you thought about being a sub? All you have to do is hand out worksheets and ask them to keep their voices down. You're not their regular teacher so all you have to do is keep them from killing each other. You don't really have to teach them, really.

Also, if you haven't done so already, go file for unemployment now. It takes several weeks to get things going and maybe you'll have a job by then and if you don't, you'll have some cash coming in.
