Could happen. Bullets can richocet inside the body. Or it could've been a mushrooming bullet...but then again, if it was, no question; Woody would be dead.

Well, the shot was from five feet or so away, teflon-coated, armor-piercing round. We were figuring that it went through and through. And he was shot straight on, so the bullet should have passed through his colon.

It's a bullet not designed to flip, spin, or expand. Steel-core, iirc.
