Rob Liefeld draws Battlestar Galactica (Old Skool) covers.

Does anyone have ANY idea how much this makes me die laughing in glee?

OMFG.

It's Shatterstar as Starbuck, but with weird growths! James Proudstar as Apollo! Cyblade as Sheba (I assume)! And, last but not least, Ahab as Count Baltar!

MWahahahahahahahah.

Guys, I think I'm gonna stick with real, live, ravishing Kara Thrace.

Also? If this is the Best Comic Ever (as, apparently, the comic was Good), please tell me the interior art was someone else?

Whilce Portacio, perhaps?

No, I didn't. AUGH!

I've heard a rumor that they might be doing new BSG comicbooks, I say we have a huge protest to keep Liefeld from doing the art.

And. *edits* (I've only seen two episodes of the Old Skool, and wasn't always paying attention)

Dude! Who did the interiors, do you know?

Mmm. New BSG. As long as, er, the person is good at making people look like people...

As a comic's newbie: Why is this man allowed to draw comics? At all?

Are Marvel, DC, etc, blind to the fact his artwork is tosh? Everyone in those pictures there seem to have some sort of bizarre spinal disorder. Someone should start a petition.

He's been drawing comics since... 1988.

We figure he has some choice blackmail.

Oh, I did look at some of his early work. And it's not... bad.

But, dude. I've got some of his Heroes Reborn stuff, and there are panels where people are missing joints, completely mis-aligned with their legs, and missing bits of their limbs. And let's not talk about the lack of dick on the men and where all the women have packages.

Or that he REUSES poses/people/places.

He might have once been good, with inking help. But he's fucking awful.

And I have to scan stuff tomorrow... hrm.

Those are some of the scariest, yet unintentionally funny comics covers I've ever seen!

My god, my eyes are bleeeeeeeeeeeding.

I actually owned an issue of this, but honestly can't remember who did the interior art. Mr. Brain is telling me it wasn't actually Liefield but one of his clones.

My heart kind of sank when I found out he was doing a couple of issues of Teen Titans, but the covers at least aren't as bad as I'd expected.

Also, there's a comic adaptation of the original BSG season opener out there, dunno who did it, but will possible have a look this week.

Yep, it's a reprint collection of the old Marvel strips. Issues 1-5, 15 and 16. And yep, Walt Simonson is one of the artists. Wasn't sure if it was a reprint or a new adaptaion, never actually got a look inside it. :)

Oh, btw, from henceforth to reduce confusion, I shall refer to boy!Starbuck as "STARBOYCK"
