I had to double-check to make sure I was reading the correct list.

Between this and those asinine 'date' questions, I really have lost all hope for intelligence on that list.

eta: I think I will start a Doctor Who thread about Nine/Rose. I must consider the proper wording of it.

I honestly have no opinion either way. I'm just completely boggled that a S/J list is talking about a TV show that in no way resembles SG-1... It would be like me talking about how Nate and Domino are Sam and Jack...

I see S/J get compared to Harm/Mac a lot. There's also a lot of the same "TPTB are out to screw the shippers" between the two fandoms.

Actually... yes. It depends on the list, but I've seen minor S/J discussions as well as discussions for other shows on Harm/Mac lists. It's OT and either should be marked as such or banned as per rules of the list, but it happens.

Daniel. He is younger and presumably more tender, and Teal'c is bigger so can lose weight and still provide plenty of sustenance.

Also, Teal'c is more useful. All Daniel will be able to do in a crisis is flap his arms, mutter about ancient languages and look insane.

But this whole discussion is already flawed because technically Teal'c would just make a spear and catch fish for them all to eat. (While Jack whines about the wrongness of catching fish with sticks.)

Oh God. That's a big pet peeve of mine. And they've been doing it for years. For some reason people think it's a great place to discuss JAG. I vaugly remember someone telling them to shut the hell up once (but, you know, nicely) but they came back that they HAD put an "OT" on it and there WERE other people on the list who liked JAG so ner.

Pisses me off so that I can't stand JAG and I've never even seen a single ep. Nor do I ever want to.

*nods* Me too. I tried to get into it, as it had many components of other shows that I really liked, but Jag never did it for me.

But it least it spawned NCIS, and for that I am thankful.
