And now, for a little drabble for, um... The episode with the sportscaster guy who was murdered, and that chick who called him 'Robert'.
"She played you." The words sound wrong, but Alex Eames has to say them anyway. More than anything, she has to say them. They are reality, here.
"No. I played her."
He sounds so certain. But there's a moment of uncertainty in his eyes and it's enough. "What is so different about her, Bobby?" Or should I call you Robert, she thinks.
"She was," he shrugs, "Fragile. Held together with spit and wires and her own desperate need for him."
"Yes." Alex looks at him; tries hard not to make the obvious comparison. "So. In the mood for a beer?"
