Fic titles...

You know, when I see a fic called "Pete's A Bastard", I truly expect to see evidence of this in the fic itself (although, this begs the question, were Pete's parents married?). Instead, there's out of character Sam and Jack talking.

...yeah. Um. Bored now.

Wait! I had a point. And that point was... Why call a fic something that has nothing to do with it?

(ok, so I don't always hit on titles that have anything to do with the fics themselves)

Secondly, don't these idiots and crap authors and whiners understand that the more you villify Pete the more you're going to make me sympathetic to him?

(not that I'd write Pete/Sam. Even I have my limits)

*nods* Taken as an individual, I have little problem with him (er, in all honesty, I don't think he and Jack are that different. And then there's the fact that I was watching a show where female cops were doing the exact same kind of thing--background checking boyfriends and the like... and realized that I didn't care either way. *looks worried*)

OTOH, why does it seem like I am the only person who doesn't mind and even enjoys manwhore!Jack. I mean there are fics out there where Sam is sleeping with people other than Jack, but why does Jack have to be celibate?

*g* As I keep saying, I haven't seen Chimera yet and know that I won't enjoy it as much if I watch it on a dodgy download, so am waiting for box sets to get cheap. I refuse to feel Pete-hatred just from hearsay.

Oh, I saw that one. The speed at which I skipped past was astounding.

Sam/Pete icons make me gag, too. But then I calmly remind myself that Sam dumped his ass broke up with him and that I've seen David Deluise in an ad for another show.

(I swear I actually started liking Pete in Affinity. He was cute and professional. I'm just picky.)

Heh. It's not that I actively dislike Pete... In fact, right now, I think I quite like him. I just don't like him with Sam. (he's not tall enough, damnit!)

I think I have that kink. I agree and I think that was part of the oddness of Sam and Pete. I preferred Sam/Barret to that and she hasn't even called him by his first name! I think.
