There need to be more Stargate videos that, y'know, actually have the women of Stargate in them. Or am I going to get the fucking tired and repetitive, "But the women are boring!" statements I normally hear?

Because anytime someone says, "omg! This is a great Team! vid!" it usually ends up being... all about the men.

Hrm. Wonder why that is.

Thanks for the shout out gracelesslady! My only two "group" Stargate vids of any kind are Women of Stargate...

See... most of the people who do anything in fandom are female... which, generally speaking, makes them squee! for at least one male character on the show(s). Which is not a bad thing... but the "I-love-him" factor is a major determinantin what people do online...

However, I'm proud to wave the Girl Power! banner.

If anyone has suggestions for any more female-themed vids, I'd be happy to take 'em :)

y'know, I wonder the same thing. Only for different fandoms.

Some of these people, when questioned, will get huffy and yell they don't have to love certain characters just because they both have vaginas. Or something. Or some weird lecture where they list everything they hate about the female characters which was, in one instance, a near match for what they adored about a male character in the series. I boggled.

It's distressing and I'm tired and babbly. And maybe need to spend less time around (the crazy ones, anyway) hardcore slashers (who always seem to forget about girl/girl when extolling the virtues of gaying all the characters.)

*laughs* That may be part of the problem, yes. I've hadthat arguement a lot, actually.

But the het video-makers are just as bad. (and the writers who turn various female characters into themselves, just so they can sleep with Hunky Male Lead #5)

And I haen't actually asked for their reasoning...

I really need to get around to uploading the rest of my vids. Specifically "Settling," which, while kinda depressing, is very much Sam's. (And not a ship vid, TYVM, although I've seen it listed as Sam/Martouf in at least two different places. *facepalm*)
