Wow. Small world. I was just posting a comment to aardie's journal, and hit the "friends" link, which is something I NEVER usually do. Was about to jump out, but I just saw one word of your entry. Vir.
Not a common name, and so I went back and waited for the icons to load. And sure enough, it was the B5 character I had been thinking of.
Then I read your post to say you were just starting to watch it. I, too, am unfinished watching... but I actually only have a few episodes left now. A friend of mine runs a B5 fan club in Brisbane, and she subconded me into it. *grins*
What do you think of it? Season 3's even better than 2... but I guess you'll just have to take my word for it, for now.
And I agree, Vir's a gem. I must admit I probably slightly (though, it depenends on the episode! lol) prefer Lennier & G'Kar to Vir... but again, it's a tough call.
I might add you to my friend's list, if you don't mind. Feel free to do or not do the same, as you see fit. :-)

Well, my roommate has been trying to get me to watch it for a while, and I didn't object (I'll watch just about anything. Except maybe Lexx, which makes my head hurt).
I like Vir. He's cute, torn, no-nonsense, giddy, silly, nervous, etc, etc. And the scene with Morden was the best scene ever. *happysigh*

Hmm, actually, I think I need a new B5 icon in general, now to come to think of it... *points up* This one my friends made, because of the obvious name connection (my name being Anna, and them putting 2 & 2 together...) But, she's not really a character I like/connect with... Yeah. Anyways.
No-one in Brisbane? Shame. :-( If ever you do get to know any fans in our neck of the woods, point them in our direction hey? lol
Yeah I think you're right about the community... I was trying to avoid them in case there were spoilers before I'd finished watching it - but I doubt it'd make a difference now. As soon as I get a free minute (hmm, like that'll be soon...) I'll have to investigate it.
Vir is wonderful. He gets even more wonderful as time goes by. I made a comment regarding something in season 4, but deleted it because I don't know if you've seen everything yet. So if you get automatic email notices, ignore that one!
Vir is great, but I think I like the Londo/G'Kar dysfunction later on in the series the best. Mentioning my very favoritest B5 character tends to make people back away from me slowly, however...
