Random Battlestar Galactica thoughts

Since I've seen the deleted scenes... and re-watched a few bits.

Dear BSG writers, please stop with the Drama Over Religion. I just mentioned to Shai that you could have cut out EVERY Roslin scene and put in your deleted scenes with Starbuck and Apollo and Baltar, and it would have been a much better episode.

Religion. Bores me.

Snarky sarcastic bitching, and good-natured ribaldry, and refusals to accept? That makes me happy.

Starbuck orgasmed. Baltar didn't.

Bet Six didn't offer to fix it for him.

Hrm. *distracted* I need socks.

The sad thing is that I'm not atheist. I'm just incredibly unimpressed with the stupid Star Trekkian religious shit. (No, I don't think Ron Moore is the second coming of Joss Whedon)

*laughs* (I've always thought Joss was a one-trick pony, so I won't kill you. ;)

Yikes, I'd argue there. I HATEhateHATED the whole "It's a western!! in SPACE!! Get it? With dialog from really bad westerns! And wagons! Cos even though it's, like, in the future and in space, it's a WESTERN!"

*rolls eyes*

I liked characters in FF. But not a lot of the (IMO) weak plot devices.

*sigh* I'm just going to have to disagree with you on that. I loved the plots and loved the dialogue and LOVED LOVED LOVED the horses and six-shooters in space.

Firefly/my tv is my OTP.

I can agree to disagree. And I'm glad someone did like it--because omg, I so didn't.

Did like the backwards ep, though...the one that starts out with Mal dying on the floor and the self-destruct counting down.

The Western-speak drove me nuts, though. (For me, tis a relatively short trip.)

And despite the griping, I'm sure I'll probably shell out the bucks for the movie, cos, omg, Mal, and Jayne, and Wash.

*can always plug ears and just watch the pretteh*

Urgh, yes (although not so much on the Jayne for me, and add StickUpHisAss!Simon). And the girls, too -- gods, Inara's so beautiful she makes me question my sexuality. And I love Kaylee to peices.

I am so with you on the religion.

And good for Starbuck for taking off when she was done and things got awkward. Baltar = ick.
