you know what sucks?

No, I mean, REALLY sucks. (I'm going to nap in a moment)

That there aren't comicbook movies. I can't take them and make music videos from them. And that really sucks. Because I really want to do a Dom/Nate video to Switchfoot's 'Dare You to Move', because it is SO them in all their brilliant, gaudy, fucked-uppedness.

That is all. Now I nap.

I know!! I want to make an anime-music-video about my characters, to Felicia Sorenson's 'Once' from the soundtrack to Brotherhood of the Wolf. But my characters are fan-drawn comics taken from a video game where you can hardly even see their faces. There isn't any anime. *sob* I'd have to do a lot of drawing or learn Flash or something.

There will always be people who just like to draw. Animation is a different medium from comic strips in terms of how you tell a story. But I'm sure that it's just a matter of time before someone tries exactly what you're thinking of.

I have no idea how easy it is to make flash animation, or how long it takes to create enough art for X number of minutes of screentime. Scream of the Shalka had an entire professional animation studio behind it. There's a new Strong Bad cartoon every week, but those use very oversimplified character designs.

I've had that thought myself, a couple times.

And that kinda scares me.
