Possibly. Because I am remembering that there's other anti-female stuff. People think Jean Grey is too boring, that Starbuck should never be a woman, that, that... arg.

Although everyone apparently loves Emma Frost. Maybe because she puts out so well...

Well, the Starbuck people are likely fans of the original series that liked the character, and didn't/don't care for the change. I guess, for them, it would be comparable to... Daniel suddenly hating coffee, or if 'Sam' Carter had been a man. ^_^
