rambling thoughts...

Went to Timey's parents last night. Caught some of Enterprise. Still not interested. I think it's because I find Bakula a poor man's Sinclair. And T'Pol... uh... bored me.

Am continually disturbed at the fic-challenges on the Sam/Jack list that demand the end be that they're married with kids... C'mon, people, how about a little variety? Honestly, this just makes the Sam and Jack in my head decide they're never getting married.

hrm. I wonder if I have the Moriarty episodes of Next Gen taped.

OPUS!!!

That is all.

OMG. I can kind of see your point, because I want to know what the hell they've done to Bakula to make his acting that constipated.

Loved him, so much, on Quantum Leap. And Murphy Brown. Can't make those two performances mesh with the absolute hack he does on Enterprise.

I think it's because I find Bakula a poor man's Sinclair.

Take that back! (er, um, who's Sinclair?)

No. Enterprise bores me....

And Sinclair. Babylon 5. Dear.

Ah, the one scifi thing I never got around to watching, for some reason. (I know, I know, but some of my rl friends have planned to educate me for over a year now. One of these days - when it's a long weekend - I'll take up their offer.)

I haven't actually seen a single episode of Enterprise, either, but I've always loved Scott Bakula in everything he's done, so I'm probably a little biased. And, er, crazy like that. *g*

Ahhh. *snerk*

Probably best if you never watch Enterprise, then.

Actually, I can see Sam/Jack living "in sin" with a alkesh load of rug rats. Heck, they're off to a good start thanks to you and Thor. Getting married? Not so much. And they're too busy and keep putting it off. One day after about seven years they wake up (after the goodmorning sex) and decide that they don't really need to get married after all.

But yeah, I read that post and just rolled my eyes. Sheesh...

And then, I went out and dug up topsoil.

*laughs* Yes. Living in sin. Forever.

"We should get married."
"Afraid I'll cheat on you?"
"The sex is too good."
"Smug bastard."

Erm, although, actually, the only times they end up married in my head is to get around the AF frat regs... ;)

I could see them getting married, because Jacob would be way pissed if they were to live in sin I think, and Jack is a little afraid of him. Not as much as some fics make it out to be, but there's a bit of fear there. Of course, it could be a fear driven from guilt at the thoughts Jack has of his daughter... Also, I think Jack's old fashioned enough that he would probably want to as well. But, I think that Sam would probably be the one to ask him, just so that Jack knows she owns him.

But kids? No way! Don't those people realize that Sam would have her hands full with the ultimate kid-Jack. He's a giant toddler! Didn't you catch the way she looked at him in Avatar-like an indulgent mother to her spoiled boy. Maybe, just maybe she might eventually have one, because she's a woman and she can do that sort of thing. But the fics have it right in one sense, Jack would definitely be the house husband.

Sam and Jack would be all funky and snarky if they got married, anyway. They're all asking for fluffy clouds and happy families. There are other endings to this story.
