I had a better title on the previous. Fucking LJ.

er.

So, apparently 'Sam's Twin' has been removed from ff'net for excessive sexual content. This makes me sad.

Huh. I had something else to say here, but I don't know what. Oh well.

I was talking to Canth earlier, and was reminded. I still ship Kitty Pryde and Pete Wisdom, and the two have not spoken to each other canonically since 1997.... am I really that much of a die hard? This isn't like, say, Rogue and Remy, who are in the same damn book. Or Scott and Jean (dead or not). Or even Emma Frost and Sean Cassidy.

Hrm. Comics are fucked up, yo.

Although, if anyone IS a Ghostbusters fan, I highly recommend the GB LS that just finished this month (despite it saying May on the cover...). It was sarcastic and quick and amusing. And really good.

Sadly, Mystique is being cancelled. Like Hawkeye, a fun and adult and highly sarcastic book is being dumped, because the masses want schlock and drek instead.

Still. Feel all nostalgic for 90's comics. May have to sit with a stack and reread them. Mmm. Sabretooth at the mansion.

Now, must finish fic.

Almost as wrong as Apocalypse/Jean Grey.

*considers* Poor 'Ro...

Heh. I liked the short run of She-Hulk, the one where she was a self-aware heroine. Periodically she'd bitch out John Byrne for whatever he was doing to her. And the tearing through the mock Mile-High Comics page was hysterically brilliant, yo. Some of the fake ads...

One was for, oh, must've been the first appearance of Spider-Man. And it said something like, "Forget it. There isn't enough money in the world." Amazing Spider-Man #1 (or something like it) was "Your right arm. Your left leg. Your first born. And all the money you'll ever make."

Then there was Iron-Man and the mock commentary: "Iron Man, Iron Man. Does whatever an iron can. Presses pants..." Bwah!

Oddly, all of those were books I... avoided. Damn, I was such an X-Men junkie purist. Hrm.

[identity profile] gordon-r-d.livejournal.com 2005-01-25 10:58 am (UTC)(link)
The recent run of She-Hulk was also very amusing, bought the trade last month, Jen ends up working for a law firm dealing in superhero related cases. There's a lot of humour in there, reminds me a lot of Peter David's wonderful run on X-Factor.

[identity profile] rosewildeirish.livejournal.com 2005-01-25 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee. NOTHING will top his run on Incredible Hulk IMO, however. If only for the id fight between Green & Gray Hulk, and the "Look! Lou Ferrigno!" "Wha-?" *slamming of imaginary door* "Gets him every time."

Bwah!

That, plus the whole Rick Jones "Margo's dead! We've gotta save her!" saga. Especially the throwaway "brush with Death" at the wedding reception, omfg.

*snickers*

You should. It is snarky, sarcastic goodness that has canon references going back to the 80's.

[identity profile] foenix.livejournal.com 2005-01-25 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
Because you have good taste. =)

[identity profile] lytarules.livejournal.com 2005-01-25 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
You're so damn prolific that I lose track of all your story titles. I can't remember Sam's Twin. Is it on LJ?

*laughs*

No, no, that was bad fic. There is no good porn in it. I was just disappointed, because it was sick and twisted.

I know. *sad* All the other crap on ff'net, and they had to delete the one that was vaguely interesting. and I'm not just saying that because I wrote it

[identity profile] pwincess.livejournal.com 2005-01-25 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
They never even gave Tracer a chance. What's worse, there's loads more graphic stuff on ffnet that never gets reported. I guess readers just couldn't handle Jack and Daniel's love! It's too pure for the mind! teh faboulous gay sex!

God, yes. After all, who wouldn't quail before the immortal words: "Daniel's penis was a penis of healing" ?

ff.n sucks ass. That's about it really.

Ok, true. And that is also a good point. *looks at own pathetic website* Haven't done anything other than make an underconstruction message.

They should always be reported. *nods*

And you should totally by C&D.

What's that Skippy? I should buy Cable & Deadpool? :)

Also, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH on Mystique getting cancelled. Bought four or five issues, really liked it, plan on buying the trade this weekend. Bah. :(
