the only good gedi is a dead geni.

Or whatever the fuck they're spelling it as.

And now BG is on. And. Wow. Um. Bored. And the President has new hair color.
Spoiler-cut for SG spoilers.

SG-1:
Having watched this again, can I ask, WHY people were drinking the stupidity water?

Atlantis:
YES! Bug zapper in action!!!!!!

Shep killed a bunch of them. With mad Black Ops Skillz!!

*bounces*

*stares at tv* Wow. CAn we please watch some Starbuck now? This is boring.

Erm. Back to SG.

Gemini: Everyone was still acting like an idiot.

The Eye: Wet Weir and McKay.

And. Dude. Not feeling the McKay/Weir at all. Sorry.

Really bored with Sora not being dead.

*giggles* 60 men bug-zapped!

THAT'S what the shield is for, bitches!

Sigh. And they killed. Killing is good.

Loved Sheppard At The Gate.

SG1 = bleah. It's like they're all just showing up to work to collect the paychecks, actors and writers alike.

So, Shepard. Very Die Hard. And I keep meaning to ask: why's he got that Hollywood stylist do? Should't it be all short and practical, like every other military personnel on an SG series who isn't Carter?

Eh. i thought AT did a nice job. I just thought everyone was drinking stupidity water.

And, Shep inherited Jonas' hair.... *g*

[identity profile] rosewildeirish.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, I can buy that keeping regulation hair isn't high on the list of things to do. Though I have wondered what he's going to do when his product runs out...

It will go flat like Jonas' did, in Fallout. And look awful. *sad*

which is a pity.

re: SG-1: Really. I mean, pretty much from the previews alone I kinda figured out what would be happening. The first... oh, I dunno, quarter of the show proved me right, and I was correctly able to determine the basic plot: RepliCarter says other Replicators are immune to plot device. RepliCarter convinces endlessly gullible Carter to let her study the plans to the plot device. Ludicrously gullible Carter does so, over the objections of the clearly saner members of the SGC. Fifth shows up, because - as was made obvious even to the brain-dead - he was working with RepliCarter all along. RepliCarter, however, betrays him, blowing him and a whole mess of Replicators up. She then tells Carter just how stupid she's just been, and that she is now immune to the plot device, and has spread that to the others, via the borg collective subspace link between them. RepliCarter beats up the people left at the Alpha Site and escapes. O'Neill and Teal'c - and, as a side note, where the hell is Daniel during this episode? - assure Carter that this latest colossal screw up isn't her fault, despite the fact that it oh-so-obviously is. But why should she and her fluffy hair take responsibility for something that doesn't turn out positively?

Not the best of notes to (re)start the season on.

re: Atlantis: Whee! Definately lots more fun then SG-1. Just one thing: Is it Gennii or Gedi? Cause my close captioning keeps insisting it's the former (though I'm likely not spelling it right *lol*). Sheppard's whole black-ops stuff was very cool, and I totally loved the whole shield-bug-zapper move. Not to mention how much Weir evidently means to him. *grins*

BG, which just ended, was okay. It's only been a few episodes, so I can't properly judge the show. But I do like it. ^_^

[identity profile] rosewildeirish.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
I'm just happy they didn't kill Cally. She's fast becoming a favorite of mine.

[identity profile] mylittleredgirl.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
She is so TRAGIC!GIRL, though. Seriously, every time she shows up on the show it's to traumatize her. But she does manage to look traumatized very well, so, there is that.

[identity profile] rosewildeirish.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
But at least she's not Victim!Girl. She doesn't STAY a victim or whine about it. She's put in a situation, reacts with acceptable emotion, shows some spunk, and gets over it.

Refreshing, in a way.

BUG ZAPPER!!

Honestly, Jack should have said "no". It would've been that simple. "Teal'c, kill the replicator, Carter, come home, and we'll figure it out here."

Daniel, btw, is off on the Prometheus, heading for Pegasus -- it was all explained in the first blip there, with Daniel getting in the elevator. It was just, y'know, never explained. That's all right, next week, we don't see anyone BUT Daniel.. If Aeryn Claudia Black weren't on it, I would probably not even watch it.

At least he won't be spending the entire ep talking to Unas.

BG was probably good, but I'm... I needed something that would help after the let-down and stupidity of SG-1. And, well, knowing Sora and Kolya are still alive.

Genii, I think. Personally, I was joking with Timey that they're the poor man's Jedi. Thus, Gedi.

I hates them. A lot.

[identity profile] obsidian179.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Are you sure Kolya's alive? I mean, last we saw him, he was shot, and I thought it was somewhere vital. *shrugs*

And Hammond's back for the next ep. :)

What? You don't like Daniel? Gah! *g*

I'm really looking forward to Promethius Unbound, especially after the Behind the Gate special.

And I don't know. That whole "hidden desires" thing that Replicarter was drilling into Sam. That just reeks of 'break the regs and fuck Jack'. Well, it should anyway. ;)
ext_18106: (Daniel - Uh. Right. Jack.)

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Fucking Jack is a good plan.

And, honestly, I like Daniel. But the last Daniel-heavy episode, 'Icon' was so boring I didn't actually watch it all the way through... Well, not at once. I flipped around and tried to pay attention to it. And mocked it.

And the previous? Was Daniel talking to the Unas.

There is very little to make me attracted to either of those.

But Claudia being there makes it all good. ;)

[identity profile] karma-aster.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
I just feel sorry for poor, broken Sam. Although, yeah, it really is her fault. So, I hope she gets to redeem herself by kicking some Replicator ass later on.

[identity profile] liminalliz.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
*thinks you are all on crack, Gemini is the BEST EPISODE EVER*

The Eye was kinda boring since this is the fourtieth time I've seen it.

BSG...er.... comments later, but the bottom line is that I ship Apollo/Roslin like WHOA.

A/R? Good to know I'm not the only one who caught the sex there. ;)

Dude, we've argued Gemini before. And I still say someone gave them all stupidity to allow a replicator anywhere near their new-fangled weapon that could kill her.

Sam was also too gullible.

[identity profile] rosewildeirish.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 05:13 am (UTC)(link)

Hee. I can respect that.

[identity profile] mylittleredgirl.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
It weirds me out a lot that I can see sex potential with Roslin for both Lee and his FATHER. Although, in this episode, to be honest, it seemed less sex than maternal, which put my mind at rest a little bit.

[identity profile] elly427.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
Lyssie, Lyssie, it's not stupidity water, it's Jack's inability to refuse Sam anything because he looooooooooves her and wants to maaaaaaaaaaary her and have her baaaaaaaaaaabies.

Or something. Those people are too damned compromised to be making decisions like they were.

But I still liked most of the ep.

[identity profile] mylittleredgirl.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah... that's kinda what Tammy said. It led to a horrifying realization.

Me: OMGWTF EVERYONE IS BEING STUPID! WHY? WHY? WHY?

Tammy: It's because Jack can't deny Sam anything because of the 'ship.

Me: Then the 'ship is a BAD AND DANGEROUS THING.

Tammy: ... I ignore that.

Me: *horrified at self*

See, and I don't get that. If this had been last season, there wouldn't have been a problem. And Hammond wouldn't have had to say, "You're too close, son." Jack would've just been sarcastic about the idea of even talking to RC.

[identity profile] mylittleredgirl.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
I... don't actually understand what you mean at all. I will come back and re-read this once the fever breaks, I think, because I'll bet it's very cool. *sad*

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2005-01-22 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I *think* what I was trying to say was that, if Jack had been there at the Alpha site, he would've vetoed Sam's idea immediately. And (Timey pointed this out) he obviously wasn't getting the whole story. Because I seriously don't think he would have said, "Sure." if Sam had said, "I'm going to show her how to create the cipher that will protect her from the Asgard weapon"

I think it just irritates me that the writers seem to think they've written themselves into a hole, and so they have to have the characters act stupid to solve the plot.

Of course, I also think Jack should have said, "Tell me more" and he obviously didn't, hence, he didn't say, "kill the bitch now."

sigh. arg.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't see the McKay/Weir thing at all. And I love McKay in a strange and warped way. But still...I just don't see it. Shweir all the way.
