I am disgusted. Sickened. Actually, I think America could be completely wiped off the face of the Earth and I would cheer.

I shouldn't be home right now.

But it was either that, or stay at Archon where people were celebrating the loss of life that was caused by bombs which fell this morning.

Not that the bombs were unwarranted, or a bad idea.

After all, they started it.

Yes. We left being children behind on the playgrounds. But Junior High "I hate you!" tactics are the way to run world countries.

And us dancing in the hallways and cheering the bombings on is different than little kids who don't know shit cheering and celebrating the WTC/Pentagon crashes.

I mean, hey, after all, THEY started it.

And they're not like us, not at all. They're a different religion, or they're a different colour, or they just dress or walk a different way.

They don't laugh and love and get jealous and frustrated and giggle at stupid lewd jokes. Nope. 'Cause they're not like us.

They don't live every day not caring about their fellow humans.

Quite obviously, America cares. After all, I never see children or homeless people starving in the streets. And everyone has a job. Which they love. And the minimum wage? It's high enough that cost of living can be met. There's no need for police, 'cause, hey, we're all model citizens.

And rape and child abuse? Don't happen. In fact, they're a myth.

I am angry. We see only what we want to see.

America sees itself as Above It All.

America is blind.

No dancing here. My response was "WHAT THE *FUCK* ARE WE DOING?!?!?!" :(

What we're doing is exactly what we said we would do. Give no quarter to a government that has admitted to harboring a terrorist, and that will not cooperate with bringing him to justice.

All legal, and supported by the rest of the UN.

To defuse Tokyo Rose two posts up, we're NOT carpetbombing cities, we're not indiscriminately slaughtering civilians - these are surgical strikes on known terrorist camps and military targets. We're hitting the government, and government-sponsored criminals, as is our right in the pursuit of justice.

Again, supported by the UN. Which IS the global law, whether other countries decide to recognize it or not. Just like, in any city, the police are the law whether or not the drug dealers and crooks agree with it.

What the fuck are we doing?

The right thing.

Now that I've had time to step back....

Yeah. I don't agree completely, but waiting was killing me with suspense anyway.

I thought I'd heard that bombing wouldn't work (and it didn't).

So. I may not completely agree. But I do know we're not over there doing horrible atrocities and demonising the Afgani population.

Did that make sense?

I give up. Time for bed.

Lyss,

I gotsted one thing to say to you, man.

That's you go, girl.
