It occurs to me to wonder. What race built the technology the goa'uld use?

We know it wasn't the Ancients -- they built the gates, but the technologies are completely different.

Also? Jonas is cute when he's all "I'm so smart. Hee."

They are so lucky the truck carrying the stargate wasn't hi-jacked on the way to Petersen. *giggles madly* That would so have proved the NID's incompetence...

Sigh. There's only so much read-in sex I can take. Hrm.

They probably designed some of it themselves. Remember, they know how to build motherships, and motherships use crystal technology like the Stargate. They possibly stole enough knowledge from other races to have an R&D department. They also have a much better understanding of stargate tech, as one of them knew how to get Teal'c out of the buffer, etc.

Hrm. So, what that means is that the goa'uld aren't as... un-technologically advanced as people keep saying. And, in fact, the Earthlings are doing the same exact thing. Stealing tech, studying it, and adapting it for their own use....
