hrm

I wonder how many mementos members of the SGC have left behind on planets where missions have gone wrong... It must be to the point where no one takes anything they don't want to lose.

(now there's the real first mission speech)

"Before you step through that wormhole, make sure that anything you don't want to lose stays here."

*bewildered looks*

"Thanks to SG-1, we know how easy it is to get chased back to the gate. If you value an article of clothing or a book or a picture more than your team-mate's lives, you *will* be held accountable."

*massturning out of pockets and shiny things from packs*

"Thank you." *Genial!Hammond Smile #4* "Good luck, people."

In other news, I still haven't decided where Jack is. But I know where Teal'c and Jonas are.

I think there is a rule like that, actually. *ponders* I remember seeing something like that in the RPG book. There is a rule about not bringing any identifying pieces (I guess like a driver's license. I wonder if that means no dog tags, too) with you through the gate.

Ah. Never paid attention to rpg stuff...

Heh. Good point. Things you never think of. ;)

On the other hand, do they all also have to have a common stash of things like playing cards and harmonicas, both for boredom evasion and befriending random primitives/children they run across?

Dude, anyone who is on a team with Jack O'Neill knows better than to leave the playing cards at gome....

Oh, that's one of my favorite Hammond Smiles! ^_^
