So, wow, the Stargate fan-fic award tallies are all out. And quite a ton of crap beat out the good stuff. And, like, ohmigod! I feel like I'm in comicbook fanfictiondom all over again! It's like coming home to a new CBFFAs, but with extra wank.

*sniffs* Thank you new fandom for making me feel right at home.

Although there is no awards ceremony. WHY is there no awards ceremony? The possibility for extra wank would be fabulous... I shouldn't have to have been the only one to award a crappy author an award, damnit!

I was looking forward to the results, just for the good fic recs. And... that so didn't happen. Bar the handful I totally agree with.

I know this sounds hopelessly cynical, but I expected the crap to win. there's almost always a higher crap to good ratio on fanfiction awards. Because if you're mediocre and popular, your friends will vote for you. Just to, y'know, prove you're better.

It's like ff'net, but in a microcosm. Or something.

Anyway. Back to work.
