A.j., I promise not to kill the cat. Even if he has just spent the last 20 minutes torturing a piece of cardboard under my bed and making more noise than a jackhammer.

The cardboard is now hidden. He will never find it.

Hah.

I'm considering going back to bed, except I'm *tired* of writing posts in my head about SG/Atlantis/Lowdown/etc. And I've written a bunch. They were all witty. sigh.

Can I run away from this fandom now? Because a lot of the more vocal people in it SCARE the crap outta me.

When did it stop being fun to like a show and start being some agenda for What the Fans Want?

Did I just miss all of this in Doctor Who fandom by being on the fringes? Or even Red Dwarf, Next Gen and Buffy?

Or has fandom changed with the internet, are people more certain that they're 'entit;ed' to things?

There are people who have actually said that they're not watching season 8 of Stargate because Sam has a boyfriend now. This boggles the FUCK out of me. There is NO comparison I can come up with that's as stupid. (not even the tried and true, I refuse to watch any movie with Keanu Reeves in it, because it ain't even true for me)

Were there people who said the same when Fred arrived on Angel? When Dawn arrived on Buffy? When Stark arrived on Farscape? When the Doctor became Sylv?

I must have missed the boat, or something.

Did I stop watching Buffy? Yes. Sixth season, in fact. Because it got boring.

Same for Angel, circa season three.

Have I caught up on Buffy? Sort of. But not on Angel and I doubt I ever will.

When Worf made his debut on DS9, I watched. Was unimpressed. And sort of stopped watching out of boredom...

I got bored. Huh. It's scary, really. Doctor Who, Blake's 7, Red Dwarf, Pretender, Next Gen, never bored me. Even classic Trek still makes me giggle. Farscape would have to be written by morons to bore me. ... hell, I'm not even sure that's possible, considering the production values on that show.

Does SG bore me? I'm still new at it, really. I don't think it will, though. Atlantis might. The wraiths look like bad Voyager reject aliens (they've stopped raiding the BBC costume department and moved on to Paramount. Sad), and their powers are swiped from Generation X (Marius! Dude! I freaked out when it hit me where the hands with mouths on them thingiy came from!). Their ship looks cool, though. They just look... boring.

Huh.

Oooh. Hey. Seaquest.

Y'know, Seaquest didn't bore me, it just got stupid as fuck. (giant. alligator. Giant Fucking Alligator. Man-eating plants! Uhuh...)

Maybe I just suck at this fandom stuff.

*eyes cat* HAH! I hid it! HAHAHAH!

*smug look* He's all bitchy now.

Hey. Breakfast might be an idea.

Exactly! Their love is for Jack and how it hurts him...not of the happiness it brings Sam (albeit for a short while until she, after much character growth, realizes that Jack's the one for her. Or maybe not. Won't stop me from watching the show either way.). Of course, I don't like Pete, but for reasons not relating to any type of stalking. I like that Sam has a boyfriend. But wouldn't have Agent Barrett been a better choice? ;-)

*laughs* I like Barrett and all, but... Eh. I'm picky, I suppose.

Or maybe just read way too much bad romance. ;)
