popcorn balls...

My feet are cold.

Socks may be in order.

Heard back from Manpower yesterday. Another job I didn't get.

I begin to suspect I didn't get a steller performance review from Northwestern Mutual. Great. I bust my ass to do a job, I learn every FUCKING PART of the project I'm assigned to (I am the *only one* who did more than one part of that fucking thing), and I still get an 'average' or less review. Yes, I'm assuming. But how else to explain why I haven't gotten two jobs I was qualified for?

Next stop: retail wasteland.

Joy.

Tired. Makin' a pot of coffee. If you want a cup, Chenie's bar is open. Oh yes, I'm a hero, too.

Oh. And gotta wash dishes. Suck.

The only question that my institution can answer about a former employee is whether they would hire the former employee back or not. Unless you put some specific person down as a reference on your resume, I doubt that your employer can say anything specific about you.

Secretarial/data enty type jobs are simply hard to come by, and the competetion is fierce. I've had enough friends/families who were secretaries to know.

Have you tried applying to local hospitals yet? They sometimes have openings for ward clerks/unit secretaries.

*hugs* That stinks. Have you called up your placement agent at Manpower and asked them how your rating was? And I assume you're signed up at other agencies as well, so have you called them and gently prodded? Squeaky wheel gets the grease. ;)

You're uber-qualified. I know you'll get something soon. I also know that doesn't make things any easier until you DO, so just big hugs.
