Mmm. Wookie cookies...

So, y'know, I'm sitting here, re-reading the entire run of Ruse (well, except for a few issues). And, I'm reminded why I like it. Classy dialogue, a wonderfully bitchy narrator, and Simon. Who needs a hug.

I'm also noticing things I didn't before--the hair, for instance. He finds one of the Baroness's hairs on himself at one point. And... I never realised the connotations behind that.

I recommend this series to anyone who likes Sherlock Holmes. Simon is very him.

....my roommates are claiming that penguins get off on being used as baseballs. To quote, "The penguins are getting off on it!" "You mean they like being spanked?" "Yeah! They're perverted little penguins." (That would be Shai, first, then Timey... Then Shai again).

In other news, I'm watching this Dragon Storm movie, it's bad. Very bad. But it has Rex Manning as a scruffy sword-wielding peasant type.

And only three people will understand why I went, "Oh, God! It's fucking Rex Manning!"

...Yeah. Should go watch 'Chains'...

Damn the Man! Save the Empire!

Have you seen the version of it on DVD - The Fan Remix? It has more Rex Manning scenes!

Dude, you saw that movie too? I watched, like, an hour and just gave up despite the fact John Rhys-Davis was in there (and doing the best he could with what he had to work with . . .). Also, huntsman-dude had a really, really bad wig. Like, Storm-in-X1-bad.

I don't know if 'saw' is the appropriate word here. 'glanced at' might be more appropos. ;)

And, yes. It was bad. REALLY bad.
