for future reference...

Pippin's song:

Home is behind, the world ahead
and there are many paths to take
through shadow, to the edge of night
until the stars are all alight
mist and shadow, cloud and shade
none shall fear, all shall be fade

I think. Anyway. Hrm. Sleep.

Was I the only one Totally Wowed by the Pippenvoice? I mean, I was *not* expecting him to be able to sing like that. Or Eowen, for that matter.

On the off-chance you'll see this (I'm catching up on everything after being out of it for about a week), the whole thing is actually-

Home is behind, the world ahead
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadow, to the edge of night
Until the stars are all alight
Mist and shadow; Cloud and shade
Hope shall fail; All shall fade

IIRC, it's actually part of a Tolkien poem. Also, when I first heard this via a friend, I thought it was a woman singing. Whoops. Heh. It's still beautiful, though. Billeh has a lovely voice.

Hrm. According to the trivia I've read, Billy actually arranged/composed it himself. Dunno how accurate that is, though.

Looked it up, and it's actually modified from A Walking Song. (http://galaxy.uci.agh.edu.pl/~szymon/quote.cgi//home/staff/szymon/public_html/Tolkien?A_Walking_Song) Check the last stanza. They changed it a bit, though. He might've composed the music...

Er. Next-to-last stanza, that is.
