Why don't you lose it?
Am girding my loins, as it were, to write up cover letters for three jobs sent me by the Milwaukee Jobs site.
Crossed fingers are all well and good, but I can't type with the bloody things shaking whilst my stomach twists itself into knots. And I have to keep reminding myself that I can *damned* well do all four of the jobs sent me. I just have to push myself.
As noted on more than one occasion, the act of rereading Freedom and Necessity causes ones thought processes to re-order in strange ways. And ones diary (or journal) to take on a rather different aspect than one is normally writing at. If that makes sense. My thought patterns and speech (through my fingers) patterns are always changed by the slightly earlier language of Susan, Richard, James and Kitty. What a pity I can't now lay myself in their capable hands.
But they are fictional as I am not.
Hrm. This entry was meant to be amusing and full of silliness. I see I've merely written twaddle.
Oh, humbug, I think I'll take myself off to write those cover letters.
Bullshit, tally-ho!

Re: *hugs tightly*
I remember once, Billy Collins saying that when one is preparing a resume/cover letter, one is basically pimping oneself.
At least this is a different kind of skill.
