So. Mom and I went to Saturn. Talked to the lady. Test drove a car. It's a 99 SL1. Darkish red, so I could live with it. It's... sorta pricey, but not as bad as it could be.

They're going to run credit checks (ohjoy), and call me on Monday about the financing. Hopefully, I'll get some. But I could also just pay out-right (mom claims this, anyway).

I'll have a car. A Saturn, no less. A MANUAL Saturn, no less. I'll... I'll be able to get 40 miles to the gallon. Or. Or. Hee. There's an in-board tape player, with a translator, I can play cds. It's very clean, inside. And smooth driving.

It's a 4-door, so road trips are still possible. The trunk isn't *quite* as big, but I can make do. For one thing, I've lear--well, ok, CAN learn--to pack light.

So. Car! Yessss.

Yay for Lyssie. Is it a 2003? Just wondering because we usually try to buy the previous years showroom model, saved a neat chunk that way. Although this last time I bought my van as a previously leased(well taken care of) and that worked well too.
