Eternal Equations....
1 Horny Mary Sue + 1 Horny Space Captain = Instant Lust.
Or so they tell me.
Currently, you couldn't tell it's instant lust. She did call him cute, though.
I've survived this week. Got a new tire, with Anne's help. (new girl at PC). Nearly laughed hysterically at Jim when he said, "And when you're done with the county, you'll be back full time here [at the PC]." Mentioned a vague plan to move. Tried not to quit right then and there.
Apparently, I've been missed, since I come in an hour later, and Ashley works some of my hours on Tues/Wed.
Maybe if they paid me ten bucks an hour, I'd consider it.
Not.
I've listened to the FotR soundtrack so often, I've worn grooves in it. Actually, I'm thinking it's heat damage, though when it got hot, I don't know (I have this vague memory involving the top of the dryer and being pissed at someone for leaving my cds on it while it ran). Anyway. It won't play in my big cd player anymore. Alas.
However, it does play in my portable one. Which means I've listened to it non-stop at work all week. Heheheh. I average 6 times in 9 hours (less breaks, lunch, and moving around, fetching things).
I also am the filing queen. Filed an 8-inch stack of declarations the other day. In less than four hours. Hah. Take that. *kicks*
I'm so bloody efficient, I'm working myself out of a job. Oh well.
Have decided to help contribute to household expenses. This comes before finding out dad's current job isn't working out. Apparently, he's got another one as well (making 3: job one, newjob, and Home Depot).
Essex, btw, has a cryogenics lab here in St. Louis. I was highly amused while working on the filing. There have been others, but I can't remember the good ones. Just the raunchy ones (Steel Erections, for instance).
Been writing off and on at work, which is good. Scenes for Random Orcs, for instance. Thoughts and notes on improving what's written. Honestly, once it's done, I'll have to read it all the way through one last time to make sure it flows properly. It's so hard to tell, when working on one little piece of it. I do think it's good though, even aside from Marya.
Watched some Farscape at Shai's. Poor John. He needs cuddling.
Oh! I remember one of the filenames! Willow River Productions. Yes, Kosling, that is a very wrong idea. Shush. So is Simon/Jayne (how passive aggressive....).
Crossover Soup picked up another universe. I have a hankering to watch Aragorn be mocked by Porthos. "I *love* my work!" "This is serious!" "But it's so fun!"
Plus... Eowyn needs some romancing. Can you see Aramis giving her the Look? Awww. And Aragorn and Athos can out-angst each other.
Er. Disney's Three Musketeers. I like 'em. And no Chris O'Donnell, dammit.
Anyway. Must pop off in a bit. Mom and I are going to go see the Hours.
