it's a real cool world....

Hrm. My back is killing me. Oh well.

I have carrots and mac&cheese. This is good.

I even wrote fic. Arwenfic.

Now I write cuteWarrick fic for Kossie. It's a good thing I love her, the man never sighs, smiles, or chuckles. It makes it very difficult to break things up when he always just sorta glowers.

Dad thinks the car thing is the head gasket. I should probably actually do some research, so I know what it is, and whether I can afford to fix it. See, this makes things more complicated. Jenna's car is in the shop. Which means mom, Jenna AND me are now relying on one car. I figure I can take the bus to work in the morning, between jobs, but someone will have to pick me up at midnight. I refuse to take the bus that late.

This actually somewhat simplifies my day. No worrying about gas, for one thing.

Hopefully, it won't last long though.

Ate Life cereal with vanilla soy milk earlier. It was actually pretty good. I could live with it, if I had to.

About the only complication, with the bus thing, is that now, when Ashley takes over at 6pm on T/W, I'll have to find something to do in that neighborhood. Hrm. There might be a library around there.

It feels so wonderful not to be at work.

Head gaskets are cheap.
If I wasn't so far away, I'd do it for you, as I've done a few myself.

When you look at the engine, usually there's a box covering kinda thing that
has the cap that you take off to pour the oil into.

That's the head. The gasket sits down at the bottom there, between the boxy thing
and the engine itself.

You usually just have to pull the bolts off the head and then strip away the old gasket, and then making
sure it's all gone, put the new one in, seal it up with silicone, and tighten up the bolts,
and it's good. :)

(but that's just how I've done it in the past and it usually works. I did a head gasket job on the Red Dwarf before I came
down to see you, so it's not that hard.)

*hugs*

You're a sweetie, with the Firefly and the Warrick-fic writingness.

But aren't his glowers all...glowery? And sometimes it's cute!glower, sometimes frustrated!glower and of course, de piece de la resistance, the who let Nick near things he can mess up-glower.

*snuggles random Warrick*
