May it please the court, this habeus corpus requests a recess in her current life...
Gods. Don dropped the Friday evening shift on me, on Thursday. Ashley was sick. I don't like this sleepy feeling.
I shall perservere.
Ahem. Saw Firefly. Finally. Was pleased. Kossie: You shall like much, I think.
FC Kahuna's 'Hayling' is the Horatio Cain is Depressed theme on CSI: Miami. I make that two shows where it's played while he appears to be Sad.
There was much Warrick goodness on CSI last night. Smart man. Nick was good, too. Very little of Sara/Grissom. And not in the boinking each other sense. Bah. There WAS, however, Catherine/Warrick ... moment? Something like that. It was just this little moment, where I was like, "Dude. Tension. That's... Duuude. The good kind of tension.
Haven't been doing anything much except working, driving, and sleeping. There's been some eating in there, too.
Should write up some of the ficbits I have lying around. Broken Glass 2, some CSI/Marya that popped into my head... Hrm. And Marya/LotR. Shoudl finish the program for VB, too. I think I can do it, since I figured out the circle anchor thing.
Read a book tonight. Found myself picking holes in the plot, exposing her very unsubtle clues... And realising *I* could have written a better novel.
It was a Regency Romance. Those aren't hard to construct, but.... Ye gods, did this woman need some editing--bits of the story didn't flow properly, there was rarely any real sense of time passing, so it was hard to get that characters were suddenly In Love.
And there was a glaring continuity error: Heroine is given a bookshop suggestion, that she's *never been to*. Next morning, she's there, mentally reviewing how familiar it is, and she's been there many times, because she knows the location of a book she has, "walked by many times, but never bought".... Yeah. Hey, author? She didn't know the place existed, how can she be familiar with it on the first visit?
Sigh.
anyway. So. Yes. Alive. Drained and exhausted, but alive.
And I have to do it all over again in two days.
I shall perservere.
